Social Media Specialist
Full-Time

Reports to: Marketing Manager.

As the social media specialist, you will create engaging content, manager our online community and develop/manage external relationships to effectively support, socialize and promote the Avron products and brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Management

  • Maintain all aspects of day to day community engagement on our social media channels, as well as other sites on the web, regarding conversations pertaining to our brand
  • Work with other internal departments to proactively secure opportunities to increase awareness and activities through social media
  • Maintain social media guidelines and policies in every outward interaction
  • Work with Marketing and Customer Service to create material for distribution on social media networks

Audience Engagement & Customer Service

  • Research and engage online and social media audiences on a daily basis to develop and maintain relationships with key influencers
  • Field all social media and online inquiries. Connect with internal contacts to respond to consumer questions, comments, inquiries via phone, web, email, and social media in a timely manner. Share customer issues with Customer Service for a fast resolution

Social Media Monitoring

  • Monitor trends in social and digital media tools/applications to increase traffic, consumer awareness and brand value, while identifying opportunities for consumer engagement
  • Set and track key performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report on brand conversations within the social space

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, with a concentration in Communications, Marketing or Technology is preferred
  • 3+ years on online communications, social media and interactive engagement experience
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and blogs
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, proven talent with social media writing
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills in a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse Manager
Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Using a hands-on approach, directly manager a team of 20-25 warehouse workers (picking and shipping/receiving)
  • Provide real-time supervision, coaching, training and cross-training
  • Monitor and report employee performance, overtime, vacation requests and absences
  • Maintain open communication and serve as the liaison with other departments to achieve resolutions to day-to-day administrative and operational issues
  • Provide performance management and/or progressive discipline in a timely manner
  • Utilize labour effectively and maximize productivity levels to meet business demands
  • Facilitate daily warehouse staff meetings

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of similar experience, including people leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in food distribution is an asset
  • Proven leadership skills and creative problem solving abilities
  • Hands-on presence on the production floor and leads by example
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Forklift license required

Warehouse Receiver
Full-Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic warehouse receiver to be a strong contributor on our Warehouse Receiving team. The focus for you in this role is to receive, inspect and verify shipments, as well as execute sorting and stocking of shelves with new items.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments (approximately 10-15 per day), utilizing a Narrow Aisle Reach Truck, walkie pallet truck and/or pallet jacks
  • Verify received shipments against paperwork for accuracy; inspect for damages
  • Report product issues and/or quantity discrepancies to Purchasing Manager
  • Break down and label received boxes from shipments and store in appropriate bin locations
  • Replenish product from overstock
  • Maintain forklift equipment ie battery fluid, execute charging cycles
  • General warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Narrow Aisle Forklift/Raymond Reach Certification
  • 3+ years of warehouse receiver experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Basic math skills
  • Good English verbal/written communication skills
  • Dedicated, reliable, motivated and self-driven individual
  • Dependable team player that works well with others in a professional manner
